A new “Request a Quote” button as been added to the Online Design Tool for products you choose to self-print!
Not every customer who shops in your online store or uses your Online Design Tool is going to be ready to buy right away. Many times, print sales are slightly more complex and require some conversation or back-and-forth between you and your customer. Now, we’ve made it easier for those clients to take advantage of your Online Design Tool without facing any sort of online check-out anxiety! It’s a win-win!
So, how does it work?
Let’s say your customer needs a new banner made for her shop’s back to school sale. Knowing that you have an online design tool (and that you do great work, of course) they visit your online store to create their own unique design. When they finish designing, they now have the option to either check-out and place the order with payment or send you their design and request a quote.
Let’s say this customer isn’t quite ready to order and chooses to get a quote request instead. She clicks the “Get a Quote” button and opens a window, in which she can send you an email with her name, email address, and whatever else she wants to say in the email.
You then receive an email (to the same email address where orders are sent) with a link to your new customer’s custom design. You can then open the design in your storefront (exactly as your customer sees it), edit her design in the editor if necessary, then send her a link to the updated design or download the artwork as a hi-res PDF by using the “Print” button with your PDF-writer software. It’s up to you however you want to complete the order.
The “Get a Quote” button presents new ways for your customers to interact with you and makes your Online Design Tool more useful (and powerful) than ever before!
Your customers can be using this handy new feature today! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact VCG support.
