VCG can provide integration services to provide a secure, one-way interaction (synchronization) between your CRM/ERP and your PRO cloud instance.
At its most basic level, the synchronization provides convenience and consistency by automatically creating your project/job in your PRO account, removing the manual entry of the project-specific geographic information required in PRO.
Integrations can be custom built or streamlined through any available API from your CRM/ERP provider.
Absent of an available API, and while the specifics of working with each integration would differ slightly, the rough outline would be the same. In most cases, a scheduled task is created to run at a given interval that would populate a secure Microsoft SQL table (or tables) containing new-since-the-last-job / report-ran listings of the required data elements necessary to create the requested project in PRO. This action would be completed through a scheduled process to a secure Microsoft Azure location provided by VCG. PRO could then run an every “x” minute scheduled task that would look for the existence of any new files, and if found, would import those files into your PRO instance, thus creating the required project within PRO. The files are then removed from the Azure SQL database through our stored procedure. To your PRO users, those projects would simply “magically” appear in PRO and be immediately accessible for selection for vendor sourcing without them having to do any duplicate manual data entry within PRO. The amount of required data to create the project is minimal, including:
- Client (name only, example "Chipotle")
- Project or Site Address (for geographic searching)
